TIPS FOR MAKING A GREAT CV:
  • Be honest in your CV

    Do not lie about your qualifications or work experience.

  • Adapt your CV to suite the advertisement

    Your work experience is what the recruiter is most interested in. If you do not have much work experience, mention what you have done in your experiential training as well as any student jobs.

  • Make sure that you can be contacted easily

    Ensure that your contact telephone number and e-mail address is correct. Also provide an alternative contact number.

  • Ensure that your CV is readable

    Use the correct font and size so that your CV is reader-friendly.

  • Important information to be included on your CV
    • Include important information such as your languages spoken and written as well as your level of knowledge (e.g. excellent, good, etc.)
    • Nationality
    • Driver’s License and own transport,
    • Computer Skills and level of knowledge
  • Avoid putting unnecessary information in your CV
    • Do not include your religious or political beliefs unless it is directly related to the position.
    • Do not embellish your CV with graphics, fonts or colours to make it stand out.
